:::There's unused text that I don't know about? Wow! Then that means the TCRF article needs lots of updating, then. I wonder why the developers left so much unused text in the game? I also wonder if the anything from the bootleg belongs on TCRF; I've seen articles of various pirated NES games, so maybe. And I did notice those overwritten dex entries a long time ago, it's proof that the bootleggers actually tested the game a bit before releasing it. It kinda sucks that they were limited on space... Good thing we have a VWF :D

This makes me really curious about something I'd been wondering a while, but was unable to check since I didn't know the phone number formats. (I'd still probably need a converter to actually understand them...) Basically, where in the rom are the secret phone numbers stored, and can they be changed / are there any extras? (eg unreleased numbers for Tessen or Curucuma) I know, at the least, that there are apparently like 84 dummy messages for calling secret Denjuu. RacieB 06:19, 31 January 2013 (MST)

I haven't figured that out yet, but I'll work on that soon. I'll also dump a list of all the # / * arrangements for human convenience as well. It's also interesting that there are loads of dummy messages, I don't think I was aware of that before. (It ought to go on TCRF!) --Blaziken257 10:21, 31 January 2013 (MST)
There's actually quite a bit of unused text, Kimbles made note of a lot of it in the text dumps. Most of it seems to be duplicate dialogue, reworded stuff, removed NPCs, etc. Hahaha on that note, would unused stuff from the bootleg ever be TCRF material? (subpage, maybe...?) Because I've got a text dump which shows that the bootlegs initially used longer dex entries, which I suppose didn't fit, and were mostly overwritten with short ones. The leftovers are quite funny: "The poison spore flied out of inside crinkle on the dress attack the enemy." RacieB 10:43, 31 January 2013 (MST)
There's unused text that I don't know about?
Also, I figured out where the secret phone numbers are stored in ROM, there are a TON of seemingly unused ones (some of which are duplicates of each other). ...Either that, or they're used for other things that I'm not aware of. Wow. --Blaziken257 13:07, 31 January 2013 (MST)
