Rocket Company, also known as Rocket, is a company 'founded' on June 19, 1998. Rocket Company are a subsidiary of Imagineer, Co. Ltd which currently own the publishing rights to the Smilesoft games. In November 1998, the team that developed and published the games Sanrio Timenet: Kako-hen and Mirai-hen would later form the establishment of Rocket Company. The individual pages for Smilesoft's games were moved to the Rocket Company website. Curiously, the contact information for the Smilesoft website prior to its closure including their address, phone number, and fax number, bank, and clients are identical to details once hosted on the Rocket Company website. This may suggest that Rocket Company is a successor to Smilesoft under a different name. There is a thread on the Tulunk Village forum discussing Rocket Company and Smilesoft's relationship.

The last president and CEO of Rocket Company was Shuhei Iida, who was also the representative of Smilesoft.

Rocket Company's first game was Dino Device 2, released on December 5, 2003. Many of the games owned by Rocket Company have been focused on more casual gaming, or have used licensed characters such as Thomas the Tank Engine. Rocket Company's games have often been themed on edutainment, sports and fitness. They have also games developed games aimed at appealing to a more female audience, such as Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll games.
