May I ask why you don't like citation tags? I'm sort of surprised since they've been used on all of the other pages in the wiki. I did think about cutting out parts of the articles at first, but then there's not really enough room on the page to place the pictures and to match them to the appropriate bit of dialogue. That's why citation tags are useful, because they're small and you can place them right next to the thing you're talking about to back up your statement. I was wondering where would be best to put pictures so that it doesn't ruin the page.[[User:KenjutheDenjuu|KenjutheDenjuu]] 17:07, 24 January 2012 (MST))[[file:T1-007-IS.gif|link=Special:Contributions/KenjutheDenjuu]] |
Revision as of 18:07, 24 January 2012
I'm pretty certain, after some research, that the manga's 3-volume release was the first reveal of Ornithogalum and Kanzou's numbers, rather than the website. Looking at archive.org, it seems that the page detailing the remainder of the rare Denjuu wasn't added until somewhere between Feb 7, 2002 and Oct 20, 2002 (probably August at the least, looking at how the link for the page in the menu changes.)
Each volume of the manga included some rare numbers in it, those and their publishing dates are as follows -
- Volume 1 (May 7, 2001)
- Kanzou, Musa, Zea, Hiyu, Kaya
- Volume 2 (June 6, 2001)
- Ornithogalum
- Volume 3 (July 6, 2001)
- Musa, Hiyu, Zea, Kaya, Beebalm, Ruscus, Enishida, Denfare, Salal, Hagumanoki, Gaultheria, Gamuru, Kanzou, Ornithogalum
I don't know if their numbers were also revealed in the course of the manga's original run in BomBom like some of the others, but they were certainly known before the website listed them all. RacieB 20:50, 23 January 2012 (MST)
Should I change the information to list the manga appearances first? I actually went by the information for their reveal on a Japanese fansite since I wasn't sure when they were actually revealed. I didn't know that they'd appeared in the manga. The person who ran the fansite may not have known the numbers were included in the manga and went by the website reveal. As far as I know, the numbers must have only been added in the seperate volume release since I haven't come across the numbers in Comic Bom Bom, except on the advert pages. Also, do you know which numbers are on the Telecards that came with the games? I'm sure that there were a couple revealed, but I don't know which ones. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the cards on me to check.KenjutheDenjuu 05:05, 24 January 2012 (MST)
- If the T1 games came with telecards at any point, it'd probably be Enishida and Denfare (they're simply listed as being found from "Card Vol1" and "Card Vol2" in the players guide.) My copy of Power didn't come with a card, but perhaps that was because it was Limited..? It'd make more sense for a later edition of the game to have a telecard in it. (I wanna say I've seen a picture of Bugsite or something which included a T2 card, but I can't be certain.) Also that fansite just goes by what's in the T1 guide I believe, I showed them my scan of the Battle Denjuu box so they could correct their information on Salal (the scan is shown at the bottom of that page.) The guide makes note on secret Denjuu where each of their numbers was revealed, but it's only accurate up to its release (Nov 10, 2000.) RacieB 07:19, 24 January 2012 (MST)
- Thanks for adding in the manga information. I think i've found out what the 'Card Volume 2' on the fansite means. My issues of Comic Bom Bom arrived today and one of the Telefang adverts showed a 'Millenium Card Volume 2' which was a Telecard that had a secret denjuu's number. I think this might be what they were referring to. Also, by coincidence, some information and pictures about the Telecard that came with the games was in the issues i'd bought as well. I'll be putting the scans on the forum sometime once i've sorted them all out. I do remember there definitely being a Telecard that came with T2. I think it also came with copies of Bugsite as well. It had Rex and his natural evolved form on it, but I don't know which denjuu's phone number it had. KenjutheDenjuu 16:35, 24 January 2012 (MST)
- Yeah, Bugsite copies came with a T2 card with Rex on it and Seiran's number, so I added that to the page. XD ~ Kimbles 16:46, 24 January 2012 (MST)
References
I agree we should mention these, but I don't like the idea of using wiki reference tags. :/ IMO the pictures referenced in the article should have the relevant parts cut out and uploaded here (fair use), since they're pretty freaking huge. D: Also, if you still reeeally want to use citations and picture links here, please try to use direct links instead.
