Rocket Company
Rocket Company, also known as Rocket is a company apparently founded on June 19, 1998. [1]. They are a subsidiary of Imagineer, Co. Ltd and currently own the rights to the Smilesoft games. The individual pages for Smilesoft's games were moved to the Rocket Company website. Curiously, the contact information for the Smilesoft website prior to its closure including their address, phone number, and fax number, bank, and clients are identical to details currently hosted on the Rocket Company website. This may suggest that Rocket Company are Smilesoft. [2] The current president and CEO of Rocket Company is Syuhei Iida, who was also the president of Smilesoft. [3] Their first game was Dino Device 2, released on December 5, 2003. The majority of Rocket Company's games have been focused on more casual gaming, or have used licensed characters such as Thomas the Tank Engine. Rocket Company's games have often been themed on edutainment, sports and fitness. They have also games developed games aimed at appealing to a more female audience, such as Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll games.

Trivia
- Curling DS is currently the only game developed by Rocket Company to have been released outside of Japan, and exclusively to Canada where Ubisoft published the game.
- This has made the localized version of Nippon Curling Kyoukai Kounin: Minna no Curling DS one of the rarer Nintendo DS games. The player is always part of a Canadian team in the localized version, replacing the Japanese team.
