A Personality is a trait that a Denjuu has which effects its behavior in a certain way. Personalities are randomly assigned to Denjuu, and are described as being associated with the Denjuu's birthdate, similar to a zodiac. These behaviors are often hindrances and include the Denjuu being unwilling to attack, using the first move in its movelist without input from the T-Fanger, being late to battle often, fleeing battle when its HP is low, and more. The less a Denjuu's FD, the more likely it is to exhibit its personality.

List of personalities

In Telefang 1

  • Relaxed (のんびり), the Horn sign:
Denjuu sometimes gets distracted on the way to battle.
  • Carefree (ちょーのんびり), the Tail sign:
Denjuu often gets distracted on the way to battle.
  • Careless (あわてもの), the Fang sign:
Denjuu sometimes gets lost on the way to battle.
  • Oblivious (ちょーあわてもの), the Flame sign:

  • Selfish (わがまま), the Tornado sign:

  • Stubborn (ちょーわがまま), the Earthquake sign:

  • Timid (おくびょう), the Tsunami sign:
Denjuu sometimes flees at low HP (if an opponent Denjuu flees, you get experience as if they were defeated.)
  • Cowardly (ちょーおくびょう), the Snowstorm sign:
Denjuu often flees at low HP (if an opponent Denjuu flees, you get experience as if they were defeated.)
  • Tense (おこりんぼ), the Thunder sign:

  • Irritable (ちょーおこりんぼ), the Mist sign:

  • Faithful (りちぎ), the Fiend sign:

  • Loyal (ちょーりちぎ), the Bone sign:
Denjuu arrives on time to battle (uncertain effect, but thought to lower the timer of Denjuu which have been called from far away.)

In Telefang 2

There are fewer personalities in Telefang 2, but now they also have positive effects. Practically all of the ill effects of personalities boil down to Denjuu saying they'll be late and there being an indefinite number of turns on the wait counter (shown with a question mark), or the Denjuu sometimes not arriving at all.

  • Hasty (せっかち):
Denjuu is more likely to make a wrong turn on the way, but is faster in battle.
  • Irritable (たんき):
Denjuu may get upset when called and not arrive at all, but is also more likely to make a critical hit.
  • Relaxed (のんびり):
Denjuu may get distracted on the way, but will "fight until the last" in battle (exact meaning of this unknown.)
  • Serious (まじめ):
Denjuu always arrives on time, but always endures attacks rather than dodging them.
  • Stubborn (わがまま):
Denjuu may not feel like coming to battle, but his friend (the one visible on the status screen) is much more likely to turn up.
  • Timid (こわがり):
Denjuu might be too afraid to come to battle at first, but is better at dodging attacks.

Trivia

In Telefang 1, due to a programming error, a Denjuu has a 14% chance of having a Relaxed personality. Every other personality has an 8% probability of being chosen. Another error, related to FD calculation, can cause a Denjuu to misbehave nearly constantly.
