Rex is a Grassland-type Denjuu. It is the player's first partner at the beginning of the game in Telefang 2, and bears a striking resemblance to Crypto, the starting Denjuu in Telefang 1 Power version.
Name etymology[edit]
Rex is a common species name for animals, derived from the Latin for "king". Because Denjuu in Telefang 2 follow a naming theme of birds, it's likely a reference to Balaeniceps rex, or possibly Clytoceyx rex.

Area[edit]
Rex is found in Takedama Village, as the starter for both Power and Speed versions. It cannot be nicknamed, and is always obtained at level 5, with a Relaxed personality. Its friend is Callinota (Basic).

In the manga[edit]
Rex is one of the main characters of the Telefang 2 manga. He seems to be very timid, and is bullied by other Denjuu until Kyou rescues him, making Rex his partner Denjuu.
