This manual is intended to aid in writing consistent, informative articles.

General Grammar[edit]

Pluralization for monster types is as follows - Denjuu / Denjuu, Bug / Bugs, Dino / Dinos.

Descriptions (Telefang)[edit]

If possible, please use whatever the translation patch is using for English picture book descriptions and arrival / attack phrases on Denjuu pages, for consistency.

Etymology (Telefang)[edit]

Most Denjuu are named after plants (Telefang 1) or birds (Telefang 2). When explaining their namesakes, it's nice to be aware of certain grammar/capitalization rules.

  • Scientific names (genus and species) are properly written in italics, with genus names being capitalized.
For example - Cryptomeria japonica (genus and species names for the Japanese Cedar), Punica (genus which includes pomegranates), nebularia (species name of the Common Greenshank.)
  • When referring to the Denjuu itself, the name is always capitalized (but not italicized).
For example - Crypto, Punica, Nebularia.
  • When referring to the name of a language, the language is capitalized.
For example - Japanese, English, Chinese.
  • If possible, it's informative to link to a Wikipedia article for the namesake in question. The code for Wikipedia links is {{w|article|text}} (an alternate, longer form of the code is [[wikipedia:article|text]])
For example - ''{{w|Waratah|Telopea}}'' = Telopea

An example of all of these rules in play -

Tessen
Named after tessen (steel wire), the common Japanese name for Clematis florida.
