In the manga[edit]
In chapter 3 of the Telefang 1 manga, Shigeki and his friends come across a place called Wood Town, where a large group of Ganraikou live in tree houses. At this point Shigeki, Miyo, and Matsukiyo decide to go back to the Human World to see their parents, while Crypto, Suguri, and Waratah rest in Wood Town for a while.
Upon returning home, Shigeki accidentally lands on his D-Shot and breaks it. While it's being repaired, Wood Town is attacked by Kai and his group of Angios and the Denjuu party attempt to defend it until their human friends are able to return. Upon their arrival, they find Crypto has been badly injured and Shigeki attacks the Angios in retaliation.
In chapter 4, after Shigeki has been knocked out by Angios, a Ganraikou with a bandana cares for him in its house while Crypto (having recovered from his injuries by evolving into Cryptoride) fights off the flock of Angios. After the Angios have been defeated, the bandana-wearing Ganraikou leads a mob of broom-wielding Ganraikou in running Kai and Angios out of the town. When Shigeki is healthy again, the bandana-wearing Ganraikou exchanges its number with the rest of the group before they leave.
Ganraikou's last appearance is in chapter 14, where it comes along with the other Denjuu Shigeki has befriended throughout the course of the story, in order to help fight a horde of Kiyoruka.
