Evolution[edit]

In the manga[edit]

Hiyu preparing a War Cannon attack

In chapter 6, Hiyu appears in a meeting of the four elder Denjuu, along with Musa, Kaya, and Zea.

In chapter 9, while trying to rescue an Oshe, Shigeki and Crypto are overpowered by a large group of Spearneedle who take them to see Hiyu. They both fight against Hiyu but begin to be overwhelmed by his War Cannon attacks, until Netaro and Nejiro suddenly arrive to help fend one of the attacks off. This allows Crypto to get a surprise attack in and defeat the elder Denjuu.

Hiyu appears in a flashback in chapter 11 with the other three elders, all witness to Crypto's birth at the Life Tree.

His last appearance is in chapter 14, where Musa meets angrily with Kaya, the injured Hiyu, Sanaeba, and two Beebalm.
