Crypto (IPA: /krɪpto/) is a Forest-type Denjuu. It is the player's first partner at the beginning of the game in Power version in Telefang 1. Its design was said to have been based on an armadillo.
Name etymology
There are many possible origins. One is Cryptomeria japonica (also known as the Japanese Cedar or Sugi), the national tree of Japan. Another possibility is Cryptotaenia, a genus of herbs. Its name has been romanized as both Crypto and Crypt in official media.
