You are looking at the wiki's first ever userpage in existence. Awesome.

So anyway, I'm Blaziken257, the founder of the Tulunk Village forum. I first played Telefang in early 2007 -- at least I played the poorly translated Pokémon Diamond bootleg. I played it knowing that it is a bootleg of Telefang Power, and that it was (and still is) a source of ridicule among gamers. While I laughed at the Engrish, and thought it was weird that you can find wild electric monsters Denjuu even outside of grass, I kept playing it because I was curious. And, it turns out, I actually found the game to be good! I liked the Denjuu designs (they're weird, but they grew on me), the puzzles/mazes, and the double and triple battles. And the D-Shot, which makes it interesting when picking Denjuu to use for each battle.

I also tried out Telefang 2 months later, and although the language barrier made things difficult, I had fun with that game too. The graphics were improved, the battles were harder, the original types are now defensive types, with separate offensive types, there are new Denjuu, and items have more uses in this game... yeah, it was awesome.

And at some point, I discovered RacieB's fansite from Wikipedia, and later discovered her deviantArt page, full of awesome Denjuu drawings that almost look like official art. Upon lurking and looking at the drawings, I noticed they were popular, and noticed more and more people interested in the Telefang series.

So, I thought to myself, with the fanbase that it has, why has nobody created a forum for it yet? So that's when I eventually decided to create a forum one week late in November (which, unbeknownst to me at the time, was only a few weeks after Telefang's release date (if you consider just the month and day). I called it the rather unoriginal name of Tulunk Village -- I knew it wasn't the properly translated name of the first town in Telefang, but I picked the name because I figured more people would recognize it.

And slowly but surely, people joined it. Even though there isn't always much activity, sometimes it gets more active than I expect, and it never dies out completely.

Now in the modern day, I have become so busy that I only get to post there once in a while. Sometimes I feel that I neglect my own forum. But even when that happens, there are people who never lose interest, which always helps.

And besides, if the forum never existed, would there even be a Telefang community like the one we have now? I doubt it, unless someone else created one themselves... but I doubt anybody was going to.

And of course, soon after Tulunk Village was created, Wikifang sprouted up, created by none other than Milnivri, further benefiting the Telefang community.

Now, as for me editing and helping out Wikifang... I'll do it as long as I have time to. Which, unfortunately, is not as much as it used to be. Four years ago, I had lots of time on my hands, so I was able to help a lot (including loads of reverse engineering various aspects, like Denjuu data or maps, from Telefang 1). Since then, though, I've become increasingly busy... so now I can only help once in a while. Oh well, better than never, right?

Say, would this wiki be capable of being an affiliate of NIWA? We have plenty of articles now, so it may be a good idea.

These pages are meant to indirectly help with the wiki.

RNG[edit]

  • User:Blaziken257/Telefang RNG - Explains how the RNG works, and contains a partial, incomplete list of probabilities of certain events like critical hits and wild Denjuu.

External pages[edit]

Some pages that I made externally. I may or may not format them here.

  • Telefang 1 moveset list - A list of moves that each Denjuu learns in Telefang 1. Includes Japanese, bootleg, and "translated" names, as well as the levels that they learn them at. This page is crudely formatted, meaning that you will see "Dummy" moves for blank moves.
  • Telefang 2 moveset list - Same thing, except for Telefang 2 instead.
  • Kamishino Ruins map - Stuck in that complicated maze in Telefang 2? Well no problem!
  • Toulipa Antenna Tree map - A useful map with the ability to toggle sprites and staircase labels. I was going to label treasure chests with the items that come out of them but I never got around to that.
  • Denjuu Exp. Item list - A list of every item that every Denjuu uses for experience points in Telefang 1 (this list does not include mod evolution items). Very handy here if you want to beat the game quickly. As far as I know, there are no errors here, given that I've used this list myself several times, and nobody has ever reported an error here. This is obsolete; see this instead: [1] Moved to mainspace: Experience items

Templates[edit]

Empty for now, but I will probably make useful templates in the future. I will probably list this in a subpage. Hopefully, this section won't be a huge mess.
