Spiral is a Bug made by Jank. It is the starter in both versions of Bugsite.

Description[edit]

Alpha/Beta ネットのおくにふういんされしもの そのちからは みちすうだ
English Translation One sealed in the depths of the Net. Its power is immeasurable.

Spiral is unique as it is the only bug that can be nicknamed and unique again as only Spiral has exclusive evolutions, and is unique that it retains its name upon each evolution, as T-α/T-β are suffixes.

Spiral has dialogue in the very first part of the game, but their story seems to end before the first mission, as nothing on Spiral's origins or powers is explained, seemingly leaving a hook for further installments of Network Adventure Bugsite.

In story, they were actually nearly going to be trashed in the Yamaneko Shop until Daichi who they called to in Daichi's dream, saves them. Again, they have virtually no story.

Spiral's evolutions are disparate, the Spiral T-α branch has balanced stats, whereas the T-β branch is the fastest Bug ingame, with Kermit and Grava underneath it in terms of Speed scaling.

the T-α branch appears to take after dragons/knights especially with its "cloak", and the T-β line takes after dinosaurs, and is eerily much like Crypto and Fungus from Telefang.

Area[edit]

Spiral is obtained by the player as the first Bug in the game, in Ami Techno Land.

Only Spiral can be nicknamed, and it is given at Ver. 3, knowing only Claw.

Moveset[edit]

Spiral starts out with the move Claw.

  • Claw, at Ver. 99, updates into Kagitsume/Hooked Claw.
  • Kagitsume, at Ver. 99, updates into さいきょうのツメ, aka Strongest Claw/Final Claw.

At level 5, it learns Booster.
At level 11, it learns Counter.
At level 16, it learns Wild Cut.
At level 22, it learns Brick Smash.
At level 30, it learns Combo Punch.
At level 35, it learns Full-On Strike.
At level 42, it learns Earthquake.

As it learns mostly slashing attacks, it will run into issues early on with them, despite being well rounded early game. Booster, a Tahiro made, support move, is to keep Spiral aggressive and keep tempo, as it adds 10 to Atk and Spc, and +2 to Speed, and it will soon hit hard and fast, due to the nature of battles in Bugsite.

The only FE made, Ground Element move it does get is Earthquake, which is an AoE move, and at ver 99, Earthquake becomes でしんど7 (Deshindo 7).
